Hello all Chirp group admins!
Unfortuntely Chirp groups host Chirp.social is officially shutting down. If you're running a Chirp group, now is the moment to move your members to another group platform on the Fediverse.
The maintainer of Chirp recommends moving to Guppe, which is the most popular Fediverse group host. Another option is Friendica which lets you have group-specific moderators.

Do you have a page about the project, or a source code page, or is it just the sign-up page for the moment?

All we have at the moment is our main about page, plus a help page. It's hopefully enough for people to get going.
Okay! Just out of interest, is the software FOSS or closed source? Can people host their own FediGroups instances?
@FediTips Sorry, I missed this message yesterday. 
To be honest, there's been no thought given to opening it up or FOSS. That's not to say, never. The focus to date has been on getting a functional and stable service. It's early days.
With the demise of Chirp and guppe not working on many server types, the focus was on producing a more widely supported service.
