@FediTips @bookwyrm

I just joined up and imported from Goodreads. However, some books/authors/book pictures aren't being found. Is there something I'm doing wrong or need to do for them to show up? Thanks.

@FediTips @chris_mcswain @bookwyrm Since bookwyrm does not have the same access to book info as Goodreads has, some books lack information. If the ISBN of the book imported correctly, you might find the information on openlibrary.org or other publicly available book sites for covers and descriptions. If the book is not on there, you can manually add it after importing. This mostly happens for books not already imported by others. 😁

openlibrary.orgWelcome to Open Library | Open LibraryOpen Library is an open, editable library catalog, building towards a web page for every book ever published. Read, borrow, and discover more than 3M books for free.

@FediTips @bookwyrm oh! And remember, bookwyrm is federated. You dont need to join the flagship instance! Join a smaller instance instead 😉😁.

Anyways, bookwyrm is a fantastic way to log books and socialise around books! Go try it, and ask around for help, either at the official bookwyrm account or us over at .world. We are happy to help users not from our instance aswell 😁
