As far as I know, if you edit the hashtags in afterwards they won't necessarily show up in searches for those hashtags. For some reason the hashtag search system checks for hashtags the first time it sees a post, but not when the post is edited.
The @ thing is a group and there's a similar situation, it seems to not notice a mention if you edit the mention in afterwards.

It might not be 100% though! Hashtags might be noticed if a post is shared more widely after you did the edit.
