I have 2 accounts - one on Pixelfed, one on a Mastodon instance. I shared my photos on the Pixelfed one. What's the best way for the bulk of my followers (who are on Mastodon) to see this post? Many who follow me there did so to see my photography originally.
1. Boost it from my Mastodon profile
2. Link to the post on a post from my Mastodon profile
3. Something else?
Thanks for your thoughts.

As long as you're posting four photos or fewer, it doesn't really matter which platform your followers are on.
It gets more complicated if you're posting five or more images per post as this is possible on Pixelfed but not Mastodon. If you do this on your Pixelfed account, your followers on Mastodon will only see the first four images.
Generally, if you have a specialised account it's best to encourage followers to follow it too, but it depends on individual tastes and habits too.
@FediTips @elliek the 4 picture limitation is really annoying. I’m on Akkoma which means there’s literally no limit to the number of pictures at all, and when I post more than 4 pics and they all matter to the post meaning (like screenshots of a movie that tell a scene from the movie) I have to add “Mastodon users, there are N pictures, look it up on the original instance”. arrgh!
