You can get a much, much better experience in PeerTube if you bypass Apple and Google by using PeerTube web apps instead.

The PeerTube web apps let you sign in with your account and do everything you'd do on the website, plus the benefit of using your phone's notifications system and having a full window interface.

Here is how to install web apps for PeerTube servers (or any other kind of Fediverse server):

@FediTips Do you know where I can find the source repo of the apps?

@FediTips ah it's linked at the bottom of the website you shared, sorry for the noise

@FediTips i could never figure out how to upload from mobile using the web app.
the native apps have no option for uploads but the web app just doesn't complete the upload.

@JoYo

Just out of interest, are you using Android or iPhone/iPad?

@JoYo

And it didn't let you upload on any of them?

@FediTips nope, ill need to test it again when next record but every time ive tried my uploads fail when using a mobile browser.

i would love to get this working because iOS chokes on the VP9 videos that Android produces.
