In case you missed it, the Fediverse's livestreaming platform OwnCast has official apps:

:apple_old_logo: iPhone, iPad, Apple TV

📺 Roku
channelstore.roku.com/details/

You don't have to use these though, all of OwnCast's features are available through the web.

(OwnCast is like the Fediverse's alternative to Twitch, it's a livestreaming platform with a built-in chat service. More info at fedi.tips/owncast-live-streami)

@FediTips do you have an idea why it doesnt recognize mastodon Server for indieauth (for comments). Should it do that out of the box?

Fedi.Tips

@eckes

I don't know, you would have to ask @gabek

Guessing it may be related to the weird rules Apple's App Store has about getting listed? A lot of Fediverse apps have trouble getting listed because of Apple's rules assuming all social networks are centralised, and they just don't make sense when applied to federated networks.

@FediTips @gabek hm, i was using browser. I guess I have to Read up on indieauth, thanks!

@eckes @gabek

Ahhhh sorry I thought you meant the app! My mistake. 😳

The browser should work with any Fediverse microblogging account, but I'm not familiar with how it relates to indieauth.

@FediTips @gabek hm, i cant Login for comments to Watch.opencast.online maybe „can i use mastodon etc“ needs to be adjusted in the fedi tips

@eckes @FediTips You might be thinking about FediAuth, not IndieAuth. Not every Owncast server has Fediverse/social support enabled. The server needs that support to authenticate with the Fediverse for chat.

@gabek @FediTips ah good, then it’s only missing on the Demo Server - imguess I have to find me a hosted Server to play around
